This project provides income to 120 village women of all ages from young mothers to widows. They say that with this money they are able to:

..."send our children to school"... "be self-secured with our own income"... "buy medicine and nutritious food for our young kids"

The village craftswomen have developed a new product by applying crochet skills, normally used in lace-making, to make the "Sofi" totes from colorful nylon.

Eternal Threads imports handbags and exports hope to women and their families in impoverished villages of South India. The project supplies materials and pays women for completed bags. The women can crochet approximately 4 bags per month, providing their families with life-saving income.
